| D's Brewstop Water Cum Jolly & The River Wye Water Cum Jolly is a local name attributed to the picturesque valley walk between the Mills of Cressbrook and Litton. These two mills are old cotton mills built to use the water power supplied by the Wye and the orphan children supplied by London orphanages and made famous in the Devils Mill book by Walt Unsworth. Nowadays the area is more popular with Walkers, Hikers, Horse Riders, Cyclists and in the warm summer evenings Climbers and Fishermen. There is an abundance of wildlife and acres of space for peace, quiet and fresh air. |
